How is DHI Hair Transplantation Performed?
If we need to explain it in its simplest way, the old-fashioned (FUE) hair transplantation method is carried out in three stages. These are, respectively, the "taking process, channel process, and transplantation process. The biggest advantage that the DHI technique provides us is that after the grafts (hair roots) are collected from the donor area, the grafts are placed one by one into the DHI pens and channels can be opened and transplanted at the same time. The channel opening process we mentioned is one of the most important processes and determines the direction and correct depth of the hair to be transplanted. In the channels we open with DHI pens (choi pen), the graft holds faster due to the position of the graft on the head and the instant filling of the opened channel with the graft, and since no other process is applied to the channels, the grafts (roots) hold on to the channels in a better quality. In this way, the healing rate increases and there is no loss of nearly 30% of the mentioned grafts (roots) after the transplantation. The highest quality hair transplantation method with 0% graft (root) loss is the DHI TECHNIQUE.
Briefly, the Process of DHI Hair Transplantation
- After local anesthesia is applied, the hair follicles in the donor area are loosened with the help of a special device (micro motor) and these follicles are collected one by one.
- These grafts, which contain hair follicles and tissue, are separated according to the quality of the graft and the number of hairs in the root, and are made ready for transplantation one by one.
- The prepared hair follicles are placed in special single-use DHI pens (choi pen) and the hair transplantation process begins immediately.
- The hair follicles are placed on the scalp with these DHI pens (CHOİ PEN). This medical tool, which we call the DHI pen (choi pen), is very thin and sharp, has a diameter of 0.5-0.6-0.7-0.8-0.9-1.0-1.1 and also has a structure in which grafts (hair follicles) can be placed. This fine-tipped medical DHI pen (choi pen), which is inserted into the scalp at an appropriate angle and its directions are tahini, places the graft (hair root) inside it into the scalp when the special piston behind it is pressed.
- While the transplantation process continues on one hand, the graft (hair roots) that are separated and divided into groups are placed into the pen on the other hand. Thus, the waiting period of the graft (hair roots) that are kept in special organ transport fluids at the right and constant temperature is minimized. The highest quality and healthiest procedure is performed with 0% tissue loss in the follicles of the graft.
- In the DHI Hair Transplantation Method, thanks to the DHI pen (choi pen), the damage is minimized and the scalp enters a rapid recovery process.
- A faster, healthier and higher quality recovery process begins compared to other hair transplantation methods, FUE and FUT.
- Since the transplantation area is not inflated with certain drugs and liquids before opening the channels in the FUE and FUT methods, bleeding is at a minimum level in the DHI method and there is no edema in the transplantation area after the procedure. In this way, there is no edema and swelling that extends to the under-eye area, cheeks and the entire face.
