What Makes the DHI Method Different?

This method eliminates the need for surgical incisions made using medical tools such as slit and sapphire blades, which are used to open channels in FUE and FUT methods. Since these incisions are made before the transplantation, they result in multiple open wounds during the procedure, increasing the risk of infection in these areas.

In FUE and FUT methods, inserting grafts (roots) into the channels using surgical metal tools called forceps can damage the channel incisions, increase bleeding, and injure the tissue within the channel. This makes it harder for the grafts (roots) to attach and can lead to graft (root) loss. The DHI method allows for hair transplantation with minimum risk, maximum comfort, and maximum density.

The sapphire and slit blades used in FUE and FUT methods typically have a diameter of 1.40-1.50-1.70 mm, whereas the DHI pen (choi pen) tips are available in diameters of 0.7-0.8-0.9-1.0-1.10 mm. This enables the DHI method to achieve denser transplantation and a higher number of grafts (roots) transplanted.
